BLAZING SADDLES, Torquay - 18^th January

We had a super crowd in for our first night back after the Christmas holidays with the Joe D Rose Band who always seem to find new material each time they appear here.

These guys enjoy themselves and it shows, also it was great to be able to say that this was a group that keeps the volume just right. 

SILVER CHURN CMC, Dartington  - 7^th January

We had a great start to 2012 with a full house at the Silver Churn to the sounds of Dorset based Joe D Rose Band who kept us entertained all night with a fine selection of good old country standards, a lot of which we don't hear often enough of these days. There was also some well received self-penned material, along with a couple of very enjoyable instrumentals.These lads have a full sound, fronted by Joe on lead vocals guitar and keyboard, Mark on lead guitar, vocals and steel, Glenn on bass and vocals and Reg on  Drums and harmonies. He is also the band comedian.

This four-piece kept the dance floor full all evening, stringing together fast and slow numbers and featuring material from Charlie Pride, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, The Mavericks, Alan Jackson, Johnny Cash, Jim Reeves, Dwight Yoakam and Engelbert Humperdink. Great stuff!
